Emphasizes to ensure cent percent vaccination drive
SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 14: The District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishaya today chaired a meeting to review the pace of ongoing Covid vaccination and achievements made so far in the district.
The DM directed the senior officers of Health department and district administration to act swiftly on utilizing the maximum capacity for vaccination and stressed for getting the required target of vaccination drive within a fixed timeline.
He said that the decline in Covid-19 cases is encouraging, however, the Administration should remain extra careful and advise people to strictly follow the Covid-19 guidelines. He added that at this stage the cent percent targeted population needs to be vaccinated to fight the expected wave of Covid-19 as predicted by the health experts.
Vaishya asked all the officers to work in synergy and in unison to achieve targets to protect the precious human lives. He stressed on strict adherence to Covid-19 SOPs and directed the concerned authorities to urge people to follow the Covid-19 guidelines in letter and spirit.
The DM said that a robust mechanism has been put in place on the ground for saving human lives and livelihoods.
He asked SDM, Tehsildars, BDOs and other concerned to set up the extra vaccination sites at all vulnerable market places to speed up the pace of ongoing Vaccination of priority groups.
He also passed directions for speeding up the vaccination process to bring down the positivity rate and leave no one without getting vaccinated at an earliest.
Laying special emphasis on Government-Public joint efforts in the fight against Covid pandemic, the DM urged the officers to cooperate with each other in the vaccination drive.
In order to reach out to the maximum population with greater awareness on Covid pandemic, the DM stressed on intensifying door to door vaccination drives in all Medical zones in the district.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha, SDM Zainapora, Mushtaq Rasool, CMO, Tehsildars, Dy.CMO, DIO, BDOs and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
