Societies grow when the government gives the required push at the grass root level for the schemes to reach every household so that there is a visible impact on the lives of those who need such government intervention.
LG Manoj Sinha has been taking regular review meetings in every district in order to monitor the pace of development and also to see how far the social schemes are being implemented by different wings on the ground.
During one such meeting recently at Baramulla district, he reviewed the overall developmental scenario in the district. He took first-hand appraisal of all central and JK government developmental and social security schemes, besides assessing performance of different departments.
He noted that the JK government is putting sustained efforts to remove difficulties and making social security & welfare schemes easily accessible to all eligible citizens. He exhorted officials to undertake regular public outreach activities for ensuring 100% saturation of all the beneficiary-oriented schemes and prompt redressal of public grievances.
He issued instructions to the Deputy Commissioner to monitor all infrastructure projects periodically and ensure their completion within stipulated timelines. He also directed the JKPCC functionaries to complete Academic and Administrative blocks of GMC Baramulla by November end.
