Flagship schemes

Flagship schemes are being monitored on the ground by the officers concerned and the administration is taking regular reviews about the functioning of these schemes.

Recently the Chief Secretary reviewed the functioning of flagship schemes of Health &Medical Education and Social Welfare Departments in order to see the progress on the ground.

He directed the H & ME Department to open 1000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras by March, 2022. He also said that there should be a saturated universal health insurance scheme for the benefit of common people.

During the review meeting he advised expeditious end to end digitization of all social sector schemes so that there are no complaints left as the people can themselves see the implementation by the digitization.

Around 16 lakh beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) and nearly 38 lakh beneficiaries under AB-PMJAY-SEHAT Schemes have been given golden cards.

239 hospitals have been empanelled by the Government for providing free of cost and cashless health cover to the beneficiaries. To boost enrollment under both the schemes, a special Gaon Gaon Ayushman campaign has been launched by the Department.

While terming the AB-PMJAY/AB-PMJAY-SEHAT an attractive insurance product, the Chief Secretary advised the department to ensure 100% coverage under these schemes by issuing golden cards to all the households in Jammu and Kashmir.
