Two persons sustain splinter injuries after militants toss a grenade in old Srinagar city

A civilian and a policeman were injured after militants hurled a grenade near Aalimasjid Eidgah Srinagar this evening.

Sources told suspected militants hurled a grenade towards a police party that exploded on the road.

Two persons including a policeman received splinter injuries.

Hospital sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that two persons were brought to hospital who had sustained splinter injuries. They said both are stable.

The injured have been identified as AJaz Nabi Bhat of Hawal Srinagar and policeman Sajad Ahmad Bhat of Narwara Eidgah. (KNT)
