Mehbooba demands “apology” from LG, stern punishment for officers involved in Hyderpora encountering

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and Peoples Democratic Party President (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday protested outside Raj Bhawan in Srinagar against the killing of civilians in Hyderpora and demanded an apology from the government to the relatives and the people of the Kashmir.

The protestors were raising slogans “LG Sinha Mafi Mango” “DG Hosh Mai Awo” “IG Hosh Mai Awo” while marching towards the Raj Bhawan.

“The Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha should apologize before the relatives of the victims and the people of Kashmir”, Mehbooba Mufti demanded.

She demanded “a judicial inquiry should be conducted and the relatives of the victims should be compensated accordingly”.

The authorities should take back all charges leveled against the three civilians killed in the Hyderpora encounter.

“They should take back charges leveled against the civilians killed in Hyderpora encounter who were depicted as  “militant”, “Hybird Militant” “OGW” and apologize before their relatives”, she demanded.

“They should apologize before the families of Mudasir, Altaf and Amir Magrey and take back all charges leveled against them, she said and added “conduct a judicial inquiry and stern action should be taken against those involved as per the law of the land”, she demanded.

“The relatives of the victims should be compensated and LG should apologize before them “, she added.

“I doubt these three people were killed and used as shields, whether militants were there or not, it is not proved“, Mehboba alleged.

She urged the government to take stern action against those found involved in Hyderpora “encounter” and punish them under the law of the land.

“Take stern action against the officers involved in the Hyderpora encounter, punish them as per the law of the land”, Mufti said while marching to Governor House from her Gupkar residence along with party workers to lodge a protest.

She said, “There was no militant involved in the Hyderpora encounter, the security forces killed all three civilians. If there were any militant where his body was, show his photograph to the people”, She demanded.

Mufti demanded to hand over the body of a third, a poor civilian Amir, to his parents to conduct the last rites.

“They killed the civilians and later tagged them as militants and OGW, it is a blatant lie. No militant was involved in the Hyderpora encounter”, she added.

The PDP president demanded an end to the “unabated killing” of innocent people in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Stop killing of innocent people in Kashmir, she said and handover the body of Amir to his parents for conducting last rites.”, she said.

She said, “Only three civilians were killed in the Hyderpora encounter, there was no militant which authorities say is totally false and fabricated”.

She said after the abrogation of article 370, the central government sabotaged the constitution of India. “India is not being run on the constitution and rights of the people are being curbed everywhere. It is the agenda of RSS and BJP to curb the constitutional rights of the minorities”, she alleged and said, “Since Jammu and Kashmir is Muslim majority state, the authorities are used their curbs even on the journalists are not being spared”, she said.

She said, “the time has come now people of Kashmir are not demanding justice, instead they plead for the return of the bodies of their loved ones killed by the security forces”, she added.
