Authorities after assessing the road condition of Mughal Road which connects Poonch-Rajouri with Kashmir valley via Shopian have decided to reopen it for vehicular traffic on Friday.
The decision to reopen the road was taken as the traffic authorities after the assessment found the road feasible for vehicular traffic.
Mughal road was closed for traffic on December 5 after the snowfall which created slippery conditions on this road.
DTI Mughal road, Qasim Ahmed told GNS the road reopened for all types of traffic. The thoroughfare was closed on Sunday in view of slippery road conditions amid heavy snowfall.
