The proposals of delimitation commission are now in public domain

Those proposals which were circulated by the delimitation commission among the associate members have been now published in the public domain by the commission showing the indication that they are going to finalize the draft.

Already the political parties and the associate members of Jammu and Kashmir who are basically sitting MPs have submitted their objections to the commission however, the commission is not bound under law to go by their suggestions.

On Monday Delimitation published the proposals for delimitation of Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies of Jammu & Kashmir.

According to KNO in its news report about the development of the commission it has said in its news report as follows.

The delimitation panel has published the proposals in the Gazette of India and Gazette of J&K, together with dissenting proposals submitted by Members of Parliament from National Conference and Bharatiya Janata Party.

The commission has asked the general public to submit their objections/ suggestions by or before March 21.

“Any objection/ suggestions in regard to these proposals should reach the secretary, Delimitation Commission, Nirvachan Sadan, Ashoka Road, New Delhi,110001 on or before the said date,” reads the notification.
