In Kunzar Tangmarg area panic gripped an entire village when on Tuesday afternoon a leopard entered inside the village and inflicted injuries on an elderly person there.
According to the locals, the leopard entered into the residential house of Khursheed Ahmad Chopan in Check-i-Sulbaba village of Kunzer and injured an elderly person identified as Ghulam Mohammad Mir, a resident of Narpora Chukar.
People in the village were crying and trying to keep away the children from the leopard who was moving around and going from one place to another.
Wildlife team in the area finally could control the leopard by tranquilizing the animal and they have taken him away in a cage to be released later in the nearby forests.
