Central government has been sending liberal funds for a better healthcare system in Jammu and Kashmir. Recently LG Manoj Sinha while inaugurating one of the health facility in Jammu said that with two AIIMS, two cancer institute’s, seven new medical colleges, 10 new nursing colleges, 150 district/sub-district hospitals, and thousands of health and wellness centres, today Jammu and Kashmir is among the leading States/UTs in the healthcare sector in the country.

He lauded the doctors, paramedics, health workers for selfless service, commitment and compassion, and called upon all the stakeholders to make collaborative efforts and renew the resolve to build a strong and healthy society.

New facility is the first private state-of-the-art hospital in Jammu with more than a dozen departments for the service of the people.

He took a round of the new hospital and inspected the healthcare facility being extended to the patients.

There is no doubt that the healthcare system has improved especially in the backdrop of the recent pandemic. Healthcare facilities are being upgraded not only in the rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir but also at the panchayat levels.

With the funds coming to panchayats also, at the village level the government is focusing on better healthcare facilities for the villagers.
