J&K administration is regularly monitoring the developmental scenario in the hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir. The areas with tough terrain like Rajouri and Poonch are getting special attention from authorities so that important projects are completed within the timeline.

Recently Divisional Commissioner Jammu reviewed the sector wise physical progress under District Capex budget 2021-22, the meeting was informed that out of 3956 works, 2629 works have been completed.

While reviewing the progress made under the PWD sector, it was informed that out of 06 schemes under CRF including three bridges and equal number of roads, the work on 01 scheme is complete while the rest are under different phases of execution. Giving details of the progress under NABARD, it was apprised that out of 84 schemes, the work on 18 schemes is complete.

He took detailed stock of various schemes including PMDP-R, PMDP-U, DDUY and IPDS.

He asked the SE PDD to ensure that the unscheduled power cuts are avoided and proper schedule should be maintained while providing power supply to the general public so that they don’t face any inconveniences.

He also asked to rectify the faults in electrical equipment as soon as possible as and when they occur. He also advised SE PDD to shorten the response time, and ensure that the Officials should be made available for the at gross root level.
