A truck driver from Pathankote Punjab died on the spot after he was hit by a speeding vehicle in Nowshera area of Srinagar outskirts.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that on late Thursday night workers were unloading goods from a truck (PB23K-8877) at Nowshera Soura. A speeding Swfit vehicle hit the truck driver who died on the spot. The driver of the Swift and another person received minor injuries.
Police sources identified the deceased truck driver as 65-year-old Saroop Singh son of Khushal Singh, a resident of Pathankote.
Police in this regard have registered a case and arrested the ‘erring’ driver. (KNT)
