A motorcyclist died on the spot while another sustained injuries after there was a collision between a motorcycle and a load-carrier in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The accident took place on Thursday morning near Zirpara area of Bijbehara.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that motor-cyclist Tariq Ahmed Ahangar of Verinag died on the spot after the collision while the pillion rider identified as Ishfaq Hasan Ahangar of Nowpora Dooru sustained injuries and has been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Sources added that both the motorcyclist and the pillion rider are working at Indian Reserve Police.
Police in this regard have registered a case under relevant sections of law. (KNT)
