Though it is the beginning of autumn, the J & K administration has started preparing itself for the winter months in Kashmir valley. For this purpose recently Advisor in charge reviewed winter preparedness of R&B, SMC, PMGSY, NHAI, NHIDCL, and other agencies to have the feedback from his officers.
He directed officers to adopt a meticulous approach for effective implementation of Snow Clearance Action plan in the entire Kashmir valley especially in Srinagar city.
He chaired a high level meeting to review the winter preparedness and logistic arrangements of different road agencies in view of the coming winter season at the Civil Secretariat.
He held a detailed review of the Snow Clearance Action plan of all road agencies and also took stock of other logistics required for successful implementation of the plan.
He directed the concerned officers to adopt a meticulous approach to address the requirements of the general public; particularly those living in critical and snow bound areas.
He asked the officers to take personal interests while working in the field and be responsive to the general public for addressing their genuine concerns.
Laying special emphasis on ensuring uninterrupted road connectivity during winters, he directed the officers to deploy the snow clearing machinery and equipment for snow clearance in critical habitations well in advance so as to avoid any exigency due to uneven snowfall.
