Azad Vows Legislative Safeguards for Land, Employment in JK

SRINAGAR: Chairman DPAP and former JK Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed his commitment to introducing a law aimed at protecting land and job opportunities in the region if elected to power.

Speaking at a public gathering in South Kashmir’s Devsar, Kulgam, Azad highlighted the urgency of addressing the people’s suffering and detailed a procedural approach for enacting this legislation. He underscored that if given the opportunity to serve again, this endeavour would be his topmost priority.

Azad reiterated his slogan, “Kaam bolta hai, Kaam bolega” (Work Speaks, Work will speak), underscoring that his actions and achievements will speak for themselves, reflecting his commitment to delivering tangible results for the people.

He highlighted his party’s efforts against land eviction orders and emphasised the importance of restoring statehood, noting the Government’s assurance in Parliament regarding its reinstatement after elections. Azad emphasised the disparity in electricity billings and pledged that under his government, low-income individuals would receive free electricity.

Azad promised to accelerate development in the JK UT, including new infrastructure such as roads, colleges, and schools. He pledged to establish additional districts, hospitals, and expand road networks for better accessibility. He expressed his aspiration to bring more development to Kulgam, stating that his dream is to establish more districts.

Azad,  assured the gathering of his unwavering commitment to their trust and votes, vowing never to compromise for power like other parties. He reiterated his dedication to fulfilling promises and underscored the pressing need for change. Azad condemned divisive propaganda and urged the public to unite behind a party with a proven track record of effective governance. He stressed the paramount importance of prioritising development, job creation, and peace, urging a shift away from past experiences of violence and bloodshed.
