Jammu and Kashmir government is focusing to provide quality health-care in all the government run hospitals for common people. They are trying to get the feedback from the administration and concerned people before embarking on the path of modernization to provide transparent systems in the hospitals for patient-care.

Recently J&K Health Minister said that her different wings of health department are prioritizing patient-care in hospitals across Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the need for quality healthcare services.

J&K government is working to strengthen healthcare infrastructure, including constructing Critical Care Blocks in government hospitals. The minister has also warned against doctors engaging in private practice during hospital hours, stating that strict action will be taken against those found violating norms. Common people have been complaining against the senior doctors who are working in different government hospitals that they remain absent and spend maximum time in private practice.

J&K Government is committed to providing quality healthcare services to all citizens is evident in its efforts to upgrade infrastructure and promote preventive healthcare especially after the recent ugly incidents especi8ally in SMHS hospital. By focusing on patient care and upgrading healthcare infrastructure, Omar Abdullah-led government hopes to address the healthcare challenges faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
